Most people would argue by saying ,"the Skipper should be the Castaway that represents Gluttony because he was the heaviest" but if you really watched the episodes, you would realize that his weakness wasn't food; it was his loss of patience caused by anger. But before I go into further details, let me start off by saying: The Skipper was an angry person. Anger leads to hatred; hatred leads to suffering. Stranded on an Island for 15 + years, The Castaways had to suffer because of the Skipper's anger.

Why was the Skipper so angry?

Well, lets look deep inside his brain and see why his psyche got so corrupt. It was clearly something much more profound, much more deep and dark that complicated his perplexed mind. Lets face it, He was a captain married to the sea. His downfall started because he didn't hire the right crew for his boat (aka Gilligan), nor did he take proper precautions on forecasting the weather the day of the voyage. So when the storm came, the Skipper did try his best to save the boat and its passengers, but he obviously wasn't successful. In the heat of the moment, the Skipper ordered Gilligan to lower the anchor in the water to stop the boat from drifting. Did Gilligan obey? If you read my theory about Gilligan, you will learn that he doesn't follow orders too well if is stomach isn't satisfied. So as the Skipper commanded, Gilligan didn't act accordingly. The Skipper probably wasn't an angry person before the "three hour tour," but bad judgement, bad weather forecasting, and a bad crew stirred his anger and amplified it. He was a captain who was supposed to be married to the sea, yet he was ship wreaked on a deserted island. This angered him even more, and a loss of patience wasn't a cure to get the people he was responsible for back home.

Was he ever happy? Yes, when he hit Gilligan on the head with his hat. Think about it.

Other factors why he was so angry:

(1) While Gilligan was munching on coconut cream pies and not gaining weight, slow metabolism was slowing the Skipper down.

(2) His name was Jonas Grumby, or maybe it should of been grumpy!!

(Although we aren't talking about the seven dwarfs!! We are talking about the seven Castaways.)
