THE POORLY-ATTACHED HANDS OF KUNG-FU? ENTER: THE MODERN PROMETHEUS? DOCTOR Frankenstein flees Europe, hoping to escape both his militant detractors and his haunting memories of science gone wrong. He sets out for the far east, hoping that a spiritual people will be able to heal his soul. On the voyage, learns basic Chinese from the crew, and recounts his history and his goals into a letter (or journal) His escape from Europe could be told in flashback, as he composes said letter or journal. Also somewhat referential to the book. As he nears the mainland, the ship he is sailing on is wrecked by a storm. He is pulled to shore by local monks, who witnessed the wreck, and came to help. He immediately rushes back in to help rescue the other survivors. His medical training comes in handy, as he resuscitates one of the monks who took in some water rescuing passengers. This creates an instant bond between the DOCTOR and the monks, particularly the CHIEF. During the previous sequence, I picture a scene where the dialog switches from subtitled Chinese to English, much like the Russian / English one in The Hunt For Red October. The transfer takes place when FRANKENSTEIN first introduces himself to the monks. The dialogue leading up to it would be in Chinese, but your name is more or less your name, in any language, so hed simply say Frankenstein. Then dialog would continue in English. When the rest of the crew leave the monks island, DOCTOR decides to stay. The CHIEF treats DOCTOR more or less like an adopted family member, as the elderly CHIEF has much more in common with DOCTOR than with his own SON, an irresponsible parasite, often up to no good. This makes the SON jealous, and pushes him further away from the CHIEF (and the way of the tribe) than he already was. At this point, we learn that the Monks are guardians of a powerful artifact. We are also introduced to the CHIEFs BODYGUARDS, each a master of a different fighting style. 00020000050B000007E4505,(Training scenes, both as part of Victors visitors tour and his basic training.) As the DOCTOR finally feels hes found peace, the SON flees the tribe and gathers the evil marauders. The evil marauders are out to get the valuable artifact that the good tribe possesses. SON betrays his fathers tribe, and helps ambush the father and his GUARDS, where they are killed by the marauders. (Battle scenes) This sends the DOCTOR over the edge. Distraught by the death of his friends and concerned by the new vulnerability of the tribe, he becomes slightly irrational and decides to undertake his infamous process of re-animation. He salvages his equipment from the shipwreck and the boom of the ship to harness the lightning. The powerful artifact is also used in the re-animation. Using pieces of the bodyguards and the brain of the CHIEF, DOCTOR creates an amalgam CREATURE. Each limb comes from a bodyguard whose style utilized it best. Two Northern and two Southern. At first, suffering severe brain damage, the CREATURE seems slow and unresponsive, but with the physical memory of the best warriors of the tribe, the CREATURE rapidly becomes a formidable fighter. Additional training scenes, as the CREATURE becomes accustomed to his existence. The CREATURE remains barely verbal. 0002000003EB00000CE93E5,SON, thinking the monastery to be helpless, sends a medium-sized band of marauders to capture it. CREATURE defeats marauders almost single-handedly. (Fighting sequence with foot) CREATURE approaches his opponent, strikes with a high kick, which misses by a mile. But then the opponent notices that the CREATUREs foot has come off, and is arcing over his head. While opponent is distracted by this, CREATURE launches a kicking attack that carries him up the length of his opponents body, culminating in a fierce blow to the head, delivered while standing on it. As the opponent collapses, CREATURE does a flip off the opponent, we see his foot land, then CREATURE lands, leg perfectly aligned to the foot, and he laces it back on like a shoe. Defeated marauders report back to SON, who then, infuriated, assembles all local roaming marauders, including a pair of TWINS who are formidable mercenaries from the other side of the island (or the next island, whatever), in a siege of the monastery. 00020000069A000010CE694,The twins assert that the best way to capture the CREATURE is to have the monks do it. They infiltrate the monastery and trick the monks, who are already somewhat skeptical of FRANKENSTEIN and his undead CREATURE, into believing that the barely verbal CREATURE is a menace that must be restrained. With the CREATURE in chains, the attack begins. Legions of evil marauders swarm the monks, who valiantly fight a losing battle. FRANKENSTEIN, as the battle rages, rushes to free the CREATURE. He manages to open the cell gate, but doesnt have the keys to unchain the CREATURE, who then rushes to meet the battle, still chained at the arms. CREATURE reaches a balcony that overlooks the courtyard where the fray is taking place, and he stops. The fighting becomes hushed as everyone, monks and marauders alike, stare with awe at the manacled CREATURE. BEAT With a sudden battle cry, the CREATURE jumps down into the midst of the warring factions. (Fighting sequence with arm) CREATURE does several cool things with his arms chained together, including ensnaring attackers fists, choking or garroting people, etc. Then he becomes surrounded, and rips his left arm off, which, being still chained to the right one, becomes like nunchuckau. It comes down to CREATURE, FRANKENSTEIN and SON in the room with the powerful artifact. Father/Son issues between SON and MONK, MONK and CREATURE. CREATURE ends up pushing FRANKENSTEIN out through a window, saving his life, as he brings the monastery crashing down around him, SON, and powerful artifact. The artifact is lost to the ages, CREATURE and SON are presumed dead. FRANKENSTEIN, one of only a few survivors, laments on the battlefield.0004000000C9000000210A15E5CC5DE6FF7AC1CDE24EC375E3A0C3F9E5B1C738E7E3C7F4E835CAB7EAEECB4EEBACCC74ECE8CD9CEFD1C1193D1199C149DE1598F15A3E15A4C16D6E171BC1764C000500000011000000030915A1764000060000039000000010E0930FFFF0C00000 10 10930FFFF0C00000 20 3093010FFFF0C00000 10 3093020FFFF0C00000 10-103093030FFFF0C00000 10 3093040FFFF0C00000 10-103093050FFFF0C00000 10 3093060FFFF0C00000 10 3093070FFFF0C00000 10-103093080FFFF0C00000 10-1030930-20FFFF0C00000 60-1030930-70FFFF0C00000 40-1030930-30FFFF0C00000 1960 30930-30FFFF0C00000 20-1030930-3DD6B8C26A20FFFF0C00000 E0 30930-3DD6B8C26A20FFFF0C00000 30-1000070000018A0000000B01018016C480 1018026C4801801018036C480C0101804FC5A0C0101805D8-70 101806B40 1018020718C630C01018086C48018010180-26C48018010180-36C480C0101800008000002BD0000000440,System40,Courier12004E440007014000100000011640,Courier Final Draft40,Courier104070104E407010100000011640,Courier40,Courier Final Draft10401604E407010101040,Courier Final Draft40,104070104E4070103000090000001700000002025A292025A292000A0000001B0000000271731F27B71731F27B000B00000005000000020000C0000001A00000001CE8CC44EB1541F01000F000000590000000050E030 104,@7y4,77A4,4,4,4,54,0900130000007E00000000DA91F8CE1C1D1E1F7F1B044,-..'"FFFF0FFFF001280000000C000000011764001290000000C0000000117640FFFE000000060002000177AAD } _FFFF000000060002000177AA00000000005A000000002000110000001-777C6F000480048-20F20612E-10 F264FFFF0102000010000003200000001038405AF20A20388000203F20A0000200000007000000003,[].00040000000C00000003023530005000000090000000201500006000000EF0000000430930FFFF0C00000 10 10930FFFF0C00000 20 10C201020040FFFF0C00000 10410EBC01217FD47C010930FFFF0C00000 10438B900 00070000003800000002010180205A0 101800008000001680000000240,System40,Courier12004E440007014000100000011640,Courier Final Draft40,Courier104070104E4070101000000116000900000005000000020000A00000013000000020F2640F264000B00000005000000020000C0000000A0000000101000F0000005500000000400 10 104,77A4,104,|4,4, |4,014,F2000130000007E00000000DA91F8CE1C1D1E1F7F1B044,-..'"FFFF0FFFF0012800000009000000015001290000000900000001500014000000AE0000000017FD47C5C23E2042117FD48002C,E,42,>Page #aN!
