Cut To: Ian, Xerc and Jorge, cheering, party accessories strewn about them. Paula enters, wanting to watch a TV movie on the womens channel. She finds herself overruled, but they agree to tape it. She asks how they could watch such garbage; They offer a guilty-pleasure defense, and remind her that its really only one day a year that they do this. She goes off to read a book, but ends up falling asleep early. 2: THE NEXT MORNING Party supplies are still omnipresent, as Paula wakes up early, and tiptoes through the living room area. The guys are asleep, on the couch and the floor. She goes into the kitchen area, makes some comment to herself about not being able to afford a big breakfast, and makes a small one. 0002000005A20000032659C,The phone rings. Its a promoter, looking to fill a last-minute spot on the Peembroflotshinay festival. Paula pretends that shes heard of it, and aggrees, after hearing how well it pays. After the deal is signed, she makes a nice HUGE breakfast. The boys wake up, and they are all grumpy. She tells them about the gig, but cant remember the name of the festival. Xerc turns on the music news channel, and theres the promoter that Paula talked to, announcing the Peembroflotshinay lineup. The others reveal that they have all heard of this festival, and know that its an all-girl event. Boys arent even allowed in the stadium. They argue over it, unwilling to cancel a well-paying gig, but end up resigning themselves to calling, once the press conference is over, and storming out of the room. Except xerceplex, who is still in front of the TV. He starts watching Paulas TV movie tape from the night before. CUT TO: Xerc, crying, two hours later. Ian comes out of his room just in time for the end of the movie, which makes Xerc run off weeping. Ians about to turn off the T.V., when a commercial for temporary, non-surgical sex-change operations comes on. He calls everybody out, and proposes that this is a solution to their woes. After some heated discussion, Ian and Jorge decide to do it. Xerc is afraid and refuses, opting instead to wear a costume, despite the warnings from others that security will be pretty tight. 000200000526000008C2520, 3:THE FESTIVAL The band shows up, as females, to Geegan III, host of the annual Peembroflotshinay festival. Upon arrival, they are greeted with heavy security, and they learn that not only are no males allowed into the festival, but males are actually barred from the planet for the duration. The resident males are exiled to a monastery on a nearby moon. While going through the security check-in sensors, Xerc is found out. He runs away, is chased and captured (a la Planet of the Apes). He is taken into custody, to be delivered to the exile moon, where he can be picked up after the festival. As a result, the band must find a quick replacement. They ask around, and find the perfect candidate, a cute rocker chick, who is at the festival as a drum tech for another band. They get together, go over some of the songs, and Ian starts to realize hes falling in love. MEANWHILE: Xerc is take to the moon of exile, and dropped off at the monastery. He is delivered to Brother Bert, who is clad in a big brown cloak. Once inside the monastery, Bert watches patiently as the female security guards leave, then throws back his hood, and is a total surfer-party dude. Bert leads him to the catacombs under the monastery, which, unbeknownst to the females, has been converted into a frathouse-like party center. 00020000079200000DE278C,BACK AT THE FESTIVAL: As showtime approaches, Ian and the replacement drummer get closer and closer. Hes not sure what he should do. Paula thinks the whole thing is ridiculous. Jorge recommends that he tell her the truth. They go onstage. EXILE: Xerc has fit in perfectly, and become a popular party animal. He learns that the exile tradition has been around for just about as long as the Peembroflotshinay Festival itself. They have to keep it a secret, so it seems like theyre sacrificing something when they go into exile, and they get sympathy from the females. FESTIVAL: After the big show, theyre all congratulating each other with big hugs, and thats when Ian decides to tell the new drummer that he loves her, but its ok, because hes really a guy. He takes her aside, and begins to tell her, but she interjects with an identical confession. Something like: IAN: I have something I need to tell you DRUMMER: I have something I need to tell you, too, you see.... IAN: Im really a guy. DRUMMER: Yeah, thats what I was going to say, howd you know? IAN: Howd I know? Ive always known. DRUMMER: You mean youve known this whole time? IAN: Umm...Well, yeah. Thats part of why we got along so well, I think. DRUMMER: Hmm. Oh, well, thats great, then. You know its only temporary. IAN: Oh, OF COURSE. Etc... This causes much confusion, and they realize that theyre both guys in disguise, and it wont work out. With the festival completed, they go to pick up Xerc, then drop the new drummer off at the spacehub. Awkward good-byes are exchanged, and they part ways. Oblivious to what has happened, Xerc makes comments about how hot his replacement is. Ian tells him to shut up. Xerc replies with something to the effect of actually, youre not looking too bad yourself Ian again tells him to shut up. Not in a weird way, you understand, but like...technically. Youre hot on paper. Ian: SHUT UP!!
